IN THE NEWS: Union Village Debuts Completed Home

Dayton Business Journal Real Estate Reporter Elizabeth Kyle returned to Union Village in August to see the completion of The Washington, the community’s first model home.

Brookstone Homes President Shannon Lachenman explained why his company decided to be part of the project.

“There’s multiple good reasons to have a housing development like this in the region,” Lachenman said. “This development promotes walkability and camaraderie in the community.”

Union Village Realty is showing the model home every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. Private showings can also be scheduled by calling or texting (513) 325-1082.

Union Village is a 1,230-acre master planned community that includes a variety of homes, shopping, dining and green spaces. The development is based on the 10 Principles of New Urbanism, which include walkability, sustainability, and other values that make the development unique to southwest Ohio.

WCPO Reporter Lisa Smith visited Union Village for an update on the development. She interviewed Justin Doyle of Justin Doyle Homes, one of ten homebuilders that will begin construction at Union Village in 2019.

"That's what everyone is looking for right now,” Doyle said. “They're looking for that age-in-place, walkability, live, work, play type environment."

More details about builders, floor plans and pricing will be available, soon.
