Hundreds of Trees Planted at Union Village

About 180 trees have been planted at Union Village, with twice that planned for the first phase of the 1,230-acre development. Home construction will begin this winter, with 30 to 40 homes expected to be available in 2020.

Several varieties of Oak, Maple, Ginko and Spruce are already taking root along Union Village streets and berms. Some of the sidewalks are also complete.

Pedestrian-friendly design is a key principle new urbanism. The community is planned so that residents will be able to reach most daily needs within a 10-minute walk. The plan also calls for 200 acres of green space, including meadows, woodland parks and pathways that will connect to  Armco Park and Warren County Sports Park.
