The team at Second Story Homes has been part of the Lebanon community for many years. Now, they're investing in the future of this region by building at Union Village.

Melissa and Jason Schmidt created Second Story Homes to combine their experience as builders at J. Schmidt Homes with the uniqueness of Union Village. Before joining the project, they visited a new urban development in Kentucky.

“It was completely different than anything we can experience here,” Schmidt said. “Families out at the pool. Moms talking to each other. People walking around. There was an outdoor music theater. There were coffee shops and different activities going on.”

Construction of Union Village’s first homes began in January 2020. The 1,230-acre, award-winning planned community is based on the 10 Principles of New Urbanism, which include walkability, sustainability, and other values that make the development unique to southwest Ohio.
