Update: A New Place to Call Home for the Holidays

Some people have found a new place to call home for the holidays.

“In the near future we’ll have more families, couples and people moving into the neighborhood,” said Project Manager Matt Obringer. “Several houses have gone under contract just in the past month. So, a lot of good things are happening.“

Obringer said the variety of homes available will continue to grow. There are townhomes, single-story homes and two-story homes available along with more floorplans to choose from. Soon, home construction will begin on another street with 29 lots centered around a park.

The 1,230-acre, master-planned community is based on new urbanism, which includes principles such as walkability, sustainability and quality of life. The site’s town architect, Michael Watkins, earned the 2015 Urban Planning John Russell Pope Award for the Union Village master plan.
